En ocasión del centenario de Bernard Herrmann, nacido el 29 de junio de 1911, este ciclo-homenaje presenta 28 geniales creaciones de un compositor que, sin lugar a dudas, se ha transformado en sinónimo de música cinematográfica. Desde su primera partitura para El ciudadano hasta su última creación, la banda de sonido de Taxi Driver, el programa incluye todas sus colaboraciones con Alfred Hitchcock, sus composiciones para los films de aventuras producidos por Ray Harryhausen y varios largometrajes injustamente olvidados. Sea en el terreno del thriller, el film noir, el melodrama e incluso el western, Herrmann brilló con luz propia a lo largo de más de cuatro décadas de intensa actividad creativa.
